Es ist bereits die zweite mc2 die ich einsetzte.
Weder bei der Installation noch beim Betrieb gibt es Probleme.

Das ist endlich mal eine tolle Zentrale. Sie ist direkt Netzwerkfähig und kann dann einfach mit jedem handelsüblichen Endgerät wie Tablet, Mobilphone, PC angesprochen werden. Einfach über den Browser, keine App die dann doch wieder nur auf Android oder iOS xy läuft und sonst nicht.
Ausserdem kann man damit direkt auf den BiDiBus. Damit erübrig sich nämlich eine zweite Zentrale für das Schalten und Melden, denn der BiDiBus läuft auch wenn die Zentrale den Gleisausgang abschaltet.
Loconet und S88 Eingäng sorgen quasi für die abwärtskompatibiliät. Man muss nicht gleich die ganze Anlage umbauen.
Die ganze mc2 ist Top Arbeit.
Was mir noch fehlt ist WLAN. Wie ist jetzt das mit dem Chip welcher ja angeblich schon drin verbaut ist?

Die mc2 vereint alles, was der Modellbahner benötigt. Die ersten Schritte dauern zwar etwas aber am Ende funktioniert alles. Auch der Support von Tams war schnell und effizient. Vielen Dank

Ich kann dieses Gerät nur empfehlen, ich selbst betreibe es an einer mittelgroßen Anlage auf der zeitweise bis zu 5 Züge gleichzeitig fahren. Computerunterstützt (per LAN – endlich!) und mit bisher 5 externen Fahrreglern (das war auch meine größte Intension dieses Gerät zu kaufen!) von zwei verschiedenen Herstellerfirmen für das Xpressnet. Die Freiheit nebeneinander und gleichzeitig verschiedene Bussysteme nutzen zu können begeistern mich ungemein und auch wenn die Unterteilung der Anlage viele Vorteile bietet, ich fahre bisher (noch) mit dem integrierten Booster und kann auch hier nichts Negatives berichten. Die LED-Beleuchtung hat für mich, anders als Ursprünglich angenommen, mittlerweile deutlich an Nutzen gewonnen und zwar dann, wenn es zum Beispiel darum geht, den aktuellen Zustand mit einem Blick aus einer entfernteren Position des Zimmers zu erhaschen. Am Schluss noch ein Wort zur Konfiguration der mc² per Browser, diese finde ich unheimlich praktisch (endlich gibt es die), sie geht schnell, ist übersichtlich, hat Platz für eine vernünftige Grammatik, ist einfach und hat Kommentare/Hinweise für vergessliche Gemüter wie ich eines bin.

Hard to get, given there are no distributors in AMER, and the 60$ shipping is kind of absurd given other German hobby companies manage half this cost.

At 700$ it also didnt include a power cord, easy to fix, but pretty strange.

Also, it appears it is not a finished product: for example LN is "coming soon". This has made it hard to test beyond anything basic. BiDiB detectors are on the way, but have no replacement for my LN reversing devices. A bit of a letdown for my 750$, but keeping an open mind...assuming a release comes out soon that makes the unit full featured.

Bisher keinerlei Probleme.
Allerdings noch nicht viel verwendet.
Die volle Funktionalität wird sich
wohl erst noch erweisen.
Dazu brauche ich aber noch mehr Zeit.
Soweit aber alles in Ordnung
und recht einfach bedienbar.

The quiet hope I had when I ordered the control unit on 2 December 2020 has been fulfilled by Tams. The Tamsmc2 is well built, aesthetic and functions as you may expect when the bottom side says "Made in Germany". Last week the Tams Mc2 worked without any problems with all the Fichtelbahn BiDIB components I already had. These are four BIDIB Boosters, 8 x GBM16 cards.
Together with the RS Ready a BiDiB interface that puts the complete feedback system of the Lenz company ( LR101+LB050+LB101 ) on the BiDiB bus.
The Tams mc2 effortlessly replaces the Lenz LZV200 here, partly due to the presence of a fully functioning Xnet adapter.
The cooperation of the Easynet connected to a Handcontrol 2 and the Xnet to which 3x LH101 v2.0 and an old Lenz LW100 from 1998 are connected is remarkable.
The internal software clearly ensures that no conflict arises between the two data buses.

The internal booster of the TamsMC2 is very fine tuned in voltage as well as in amperage, which is nice with booster transitions.
Out of the box the Tams Mc2 does what it is supposed to do, the first update, adding other languages, went without any problems.
I let the Tams Mc2 start the model railway computer via the Fritzbox. This is a convenient feature of the Fritzbox but shows that the Tams is a real LAN device which communicates over the network.
Tams has succeeded in putting a control unit on the market that is future proof.
